Little sister's dress

So now that I've shared the horrors of sewing... I'm going to brag a little on the dress I sewed for my little sister.

This is a cotton gathered dress. The bodice is on the long side, but little sis loves it anyway! 

Here's the sleeve and shoulder seam. I'll probably be shortening the sleeve and adding a little ruffle.

Here is where the front is gathered to the waistband. That took me like three takes to get it right!

You can't see them very well, but the skirt has two tucks in it and a DEEP hem! 

Here's a picture of the whole thing. I'll be shortening the bodice and the sleeves, and probably adding some trim.
